I am honored to
be running for Mayor of Satellite Beach. With 11,000 residents
and a general funding budget slightly over 9 million
dollars, a strong voice and
leader is needed to direct this great city - I am that leader. My credentials are
well-established:
six years on the City Council, two as Vice-Mayor, Air Force
(retired) command pilot, college professor, Master’s
degrees in Business and
Aviation, community volunteer, and currently serving as a Brevard County school
teacher.
Small cities will face many challenges in the next five years. Budgets and
resources will be hit especially
hard. In addition, Satellite Beach will experience a
major turnover in key staff. We need a strong city leader for those
five years. I
am the only candidate running for Mayor who can be elected to two terms and
uphold the requirements
needed for these critical years. I have the corporate
knowledge of serving six years on the City Council to lead us
through these
times. I am ready to listen and set to lead.
Specifically, my platform will be a T.E.A.M.
approach. Taxes: keep them as low
as possible while providing the high level of services our citizens deserve.
Education:
few cities in Florida can brag about having two elementary schools, a
junior high and senior high school. Education
is paramount. Aesthetics: we are a
50-year-old city and we look like we are in our teens. Keeping our city attractive
will be a top priority of mine. Finally, Maintenance: Keeping the roads well
maintained and structures safe and
sound.
I am ready to lead Satellite Beach for many years and will do what is best for
each citizen. Thank
you for the opportunity and I ask you to vote for me, Joe
Ferrante, for Mayor on November 3rd. Ready- Set- Joe!
